Do InPlace and RootMotion have a special meaning in animation?

I have installed a package from Fab and it has two folder inside the animation folder:

Do InPlace and RootMotion have a special meaning in animation?

For me, it is something strange that it has animations inside the TinyHero folder, and also inside the InPlace and RootMotion folders:

The ones in top level folder are likely animated in place, and if there was no need for root motion, they probably just didn’t put them in the InPlace folder so it wouldn’t confuse people if there were no root motion versions.

That makes sense:

Inside the InPlace there are different animations than in the previous folder.
