Do I need to triangulate meshes before import?

Hi guys,

I am new in modeling. I am making my meshes in Max and Maya and importing them via FBX (obviously). I noticed that quad-based meshes work well in UE4, even without triangulating them in Maya/Max. Do I need to worry about triangulation at all, or I can freely import my quads?

I awaysI always use quadmeshes. You don’t have to triangulate them, ureal makes the conversion in the import process.
