Do I need to install Unreal Engine 5.1 to use Unreal Editor For Fortnite?

I installed UEFN first and it looks working properly. However, do I need to install Unreal Engine 5.1 to use UEFN? Is it possible to transfer projects or files from Unreal Engine 5.1 to UEFN?

No need to install UE for UEFN to work. I don’t think direct transfer from UE to UEFN would work as UEFN does not support all UE features.

I appreciate your kind help. I understand I don’t need to install and use UE 5.1, as long as I want make a map in Fortnite by UEFN.

Honestly, I’ve installed UE5.1 at once, but I realized it requires a lot of storage… Thanks again!

o/ if youvwant to Migrate assets from Narketplace or other UE projects you need UE installed as Migrate tool works from inside editor.
You can migraete assets from UE with Migrate tool (not all are working in UEFN refer to docs). Thats the safest way as it brings along asset references.
Mind Fortnite uses UE 5.1.1 so safest would be to bring assets from that UE version
