Do anim notifies on montages support important gameplay events like those that would provoke damage?


All in the title really, there seems to be an issue where anim notifies don’t trigger, with branching points and with the weight threshold at 0.

As I understand it montages can completely stop if the weight is too low? Is this correct?
So say I make a curve that stay’s at 0 the whole way through, the montage will never run?

Essentially my question is, could I potentially use Anim Notifies in a combat system?
