DMX control overrides Component Settings

I work with an AVL (Audio - Video - Lighting) Integrator. We have a client that wants us to renovate their theater space. We are recreating their room in UE to show them what it would look like with the new lighting and LED video walls that we are recommending.

We are running into a problem where the lights are shining through objects. They cast a shadow, but the light “beam” is shining through things:


We’ve tried 4.26 and 4.27.

We’re using the lights from the DMX plugin with Chasys MagicQ for the programming.

What are we missing?
