Engine Version: Unreal Engine 5.7.4
OS: Windows
Project: New blank project using the provided DMX example content
The DMX Channel Monitor in UE shows no incoming data when receiving DMX universes via Art-Net or sACN over the network. However:
-
Data is clearly visible and active in dedicated tools like sACNView and ArtNominator on the same UE machine.
-
DMX is being transmitted from another computer on the local network over ethernet to the UE PC (confirmed working in monitoring tools).
This works perfectly in UE 5.6 under identical conditions, pointing to a potential regression or bug in 5.7.4 related to network DMX input on Windows.
Anyone else facing this?
I just did a test and I installed QLC+ on the PC that has Unreal Engine running and this actually works…
So it seems like the error is specifically related to when the DMX data is coming over the network from another computer.
Same problem here. I haven’t tried the previous versions as it’s the first time I use UE5.
I’m using a GrandMA Wing on another station and connecting via Art-net to my UE5 computer. Followed all the steps to setup Unreal Engine, everything is patched correctly but I can’t get it to work. Artnetominator shows there is clearly activity and I’m recieving data but not in UE5. Tried disabling the firewall and still nothing…
same here. works on 5.6 but not 5.7. using etc nomad with dongle on same pc.
