(EDITED): They have already updated the plugin, so now you have one plugin for 4.26 and another one for 4.26.1. Download it again
Hi,
I have tried it with a 4.26.1 ray tracing and DX12 project, with latests drivers, placing the DLSS folder into C:\Program Files\Epic Games\UE_4.26\Engine\Plugins\Runtime\Nvidia and enabling the plugin in project, but when I select any DLSS option from the Viewport menu, it crashes:
I’m getting the exact same crash report when I try to change the DLSS settings from the viewport menu:
UE4Editor_NGXD3D12RHI!FNGXD3D12RHI::ExecuteDLSS() [E:\w\7fc9e34d5e6ece60_Stage\Plugin\HostProject\Plugins\DLSS\Source\NGXD3D12RHI\Private\NGXD3D12RHI.cpp:195]
I’m running 4.26.1, the 461.40 driver on Windows 10 with a 2080ti card…
I have installed the plugin to the E:\Epic\UE_4.26\Engine\Plugins\Runtime\Nvidia\DLSS\Binaries\Win64 per instructions
But, my output.log file has an error similar to the following for 9 or so .dlls:
LogDLSSNGX: [Core]: [2021-02-12 01:10:14] [NGXSecureLoadFeature:501] error: ModuleName - nvngx_dldenoiser.dll doesn’t exist in any of the search paths!
For me the options are not showing in the viewport. The plugin must be correctly installed because I see DLSS options in the Project settings. any ideas?
Renderdoc plugin was conflicting for me, as soon as I uninstalled it, everything showed up. Side note it was also stopping me from using raytracing too.
DLSS is kind of underwhelming, for my project at least, it went from 58 fps to 63, and it blocks my sharpen post effect from working, so overall image quality goes down a fair bit and makes it look like FXAA.
