DLC packaged in wrong dir when not using pak file

Hello,

When creating a DLC through the project launcher (“build DLC” checked), the DLC is packaged in a different directory depending on whether or not a pak file is used.

When checking “Store all content in a single file (UnrealPak)”, the dlc is created in this dir:

"project dir"\Plugins\Base\Saved\StagedBuilds\WindowsNoEditor\"project name"

when unchecking the same checkbox, the dlc is created here (directly under WindowsNoEditor):

"project dir"\Plugins\Base\Saved\StagedBuilds\WindowsNoEditor\

The first behavior is similar to the creation of the main release (\WindowsNoEditor contains one “engine” dir + one “project name” dir).

The second is a bit annoying because after packaging i have to manually create the “project name” dir and move everything in it so it’s coherent with the main release.

If i don’t do this, the dlc is not seen by the game and hence doesn’t work.

It’s not an emergency as the workaround is simple (create one dir manually and move everything that has been packaged in it) but we still have 2 different packaging folders depending on one option that is not related to folders.

All the best,

Hey

Could you please provide screenshots of your project launcher that shows exactly what boxes you’re ticking? If you notice any error within the logs too, could you upload the .txt version of the logs with your next reply?

Thanks!
