Dithered LOD trasition not in 4.15 ?

Hello,

Can’t get any Dithered LOD transition on meshes painted using foliage painter in 4.15. Is there something changed or broken?

This is from the 4.15 release notes:

New: Added the ability for Foliage LOD dithering to be disabled on a case-by-case basis by unchecking the “Dithered LOD Transition” checkbox in the foliage materials. Note that all materials used on all LODs need to have the checkbox checked in order for dithered LOD transitions to work.

Make sure that you enable these in your Materials for your foliage now.

I had it checked on on the leaves but not the bark. Thanks Tim!

Same happen to me time ago :stuck_out_tongue:

I am noticing an issue where this only works with static meshes and not with instanced foliage, but only with certain meshes. Any idea what the cause of this could be?

Started happening for me. My trees look fine but when placed with foliage tool they don’t use Dithered LOD Transition anymore.

Hello.
How to include the dithered lod transition in the procedure foliage volume?
