Distance tiling blend only works for some textures

i followed this tutorial to create a landscape + material Unreal Engine 5 Landscape Beginner Tutorial - Learn to create Open Worlds (Free Material available) - YouTube, in the material he fixes the tiling by making them larger at a distance. only a few of the textures seem to be applying this however.


as you can see the brown texture is still clearly tiling.

my current working theory is that only the first MatLayerBlend_Standard is being affected, if this is the case how would i go about fixing it?

that theory proved to be wrong
