When I create a new material, the pin for the displacement map is disabled. Even connecting the mesh nanite and placing the lines to enabled and including r.Nanite.AllowTessellation=1 and r.Nanite.Tessellation=1 in config.
Thank you! Such a simple solution, but how would you know unless someone shows you, or you have direct experience? It be worth applying “displacement” to the “allow tessellation” variable as a tag or keyword.
Side note: I just came here to say Google sent me to about 15 results. Nothing with an actual answer. In fact, it sent me to an unreal developer thread where nobody could find an answer.
Ended up using Bing. Google used to be king. When you think about how deliberate they (all businesses are) about everything they do…And they’re being this misdirecting. Intentionally.
