Disk Read 100% - 4.19

Hi,

I’m not sure if there is a dedicated forum for this kinda stuff, so I put this in general discussion.

Ever since downloading 4.19, I feel that the engine loading, the C++ project loading has slowed down a bit and is sometimes alright but on other occasions is quite slow. I checked the task manager and it showed a 100% on disk read and if I open the resource monitor it shows a whole load of task executing reads etc on the disk and all tasks are related to Unreal engine reading / executing stuff!

Has anyone else noticed this on their PC, is this known, is it just my PC?

I think I have got decent config:
Processor: i7-770K @4.2GHz
RAM: 16 GB
Display: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
Nvidia GeForce Experience drivers installed.
Nvidia Control panel
Running two monitors

If it’s sitting at 100% disk read, go to the performance tab of the task manager, toward the bottom: click open resource monitor, within that new window: disk. Check to see if it’s your pagefile.sys with a lot of disk read/write activity. If it is, it means you’ve probably run out of ram and are paging to the disk.
