So…why do they do this? I find this extremely triggering and it’s quite frankly gross and feels like we are being trolled (this is just an example of the BPs that sit under the hood of the nodes we call):
Its the unfortunate effect of programming with blueprints. I wouldn’t call it disgusting. It’s actually quite elegant, just difficult to understand at a glance.
you cant even really make it prettier, i mean what, align the nodes and reroute the pins for something that works and no one will ever look at ![]()
You can create reroute pins on the lines themselves to organize them better. But the lines will still cross each other. What I like is in material blueprints, you have reroute nodes. Those are incredible for cleaning up material graphs.
As a sidenote for anyone trying to clean up you graphs, I think Q is the shortcut for aligning nodes to each other. And double clicking on a line will add a reroute pin on the line.
