Disable player movement and input when playing animation + root motion not working

So i have a problem with my animation. I’ve been trying to use my attack animations with root motion for days. but the animations after activating it behave strange. the hips are locked and so everything else moves but the lower part of the character remains motionless, giving a horrendous effect. in addition, every time an attack is made, the character moves to the right.

so if anyone knows how to stop the movement when the character attacks with a simple blueprint please let me know because i would really appreciate it. i am attaching the blueprints. ty all

So yeah I’m definitely seeing that issue. It seems to me like the root motion of the animation is off somehow, which is not something that can be fixed in the editor, it will have to be messed with on a dedicated modeling software like Blender or Maya.

You can export the animation as an .fbx file by right clicking it in the content browser, then import it into the program of your choice. They will have great sources on how to deal with your leaning. :slight_smile:
