Disable foot IK in animation

Hi, I’m using the standard 3rd person template for my character animation and I noticed a problem with foot IK and running. In the template setup, foot IK is only disabled when falling, yet movement animation correctly moves the feet up and down when running.

I don’t know why, but it works.

The problem is when I substitute the default running animation with any other - then the IK kicks in and the feet are glued to the ground. Seems like the default template running animation somehow overrides IK. Can anyone explain how can I disable IK in other running animations as well?

But still, how can the default run animation make the legs move normally with full IK connected?

Seems like I found the cause - the IK bones were not animated along the normal bones.
