Hello!
I am using the RC Demo version because I want to be sure before of purchasing the license for the full version.
As I haven’t the export mesh option, I applied the render option.
I follow the tutorial and make in High Quality option the model computation.
I really want to know why I have the gray areas (that makes the model dirty)???
I should remove those gray areas with another 3D editor program (like “Meshlab, Maya, Meshmixer”?
Or I should take more photos to generate my model? For this case, I used 20 images (4.4 MB each one). The original size was 30 MB for each image, but with Photoshop I downgrade the resolution (without losing quality, just to reduce the size).
Please help me! Because I need to decide if I will purchase the license of RC or not.
hello, I would not downsize the images and would try adding more pictures capturing the problematic areas, I would then have RealityCapture realign it again; if it was not enough, I would try resizing the reconstruction box and tweak details using the filtering tool
I made a downsize because I’m afraid about the final size of the .OBJ exported file.
I need a clean final model but with the must condition of a lightweight .OBJ size. I know about the “Simplify” tool to achieve it but unfortunately, I still have the DEMO version, so I can’ t export the mesh to a .OBJ to check the final size. (there is another way with the demo version to check the final size of the .OBJ file)?
I really need to know if is it possible to achieve a .OBJ file size of 7 MB maximum (approximately) because then I will download and show these models in a mobile app, so it must be as fast as possible the process to the final user eyes.
Do you think that this is possible? Or is it impossible to achieve a final .OBJ file of that size and with good quality?
you can certainly achieve the size using the simplify tool, depends what quality you need though, since simplification reduces level of details,
you can still simplify the model how many times you want and check the result yourself when you render a screenshot or a video of it - available also in the Demo version
