I’ve spent thousands of dollars on assets and my business relies on them - I need FAB to be more functional than what I’m seeing now.
I also need transparency with the community when deciding on what to buy on the marketplace. Quality and implementation details can vary quite dramatically in the marketplace and being able to ask questions or see reviews really helps. I’d rather make smart purchasing choices for my small business.
The star ratings are good, but it’s not enough information to make an educated decision. Look at Unity’s marketplace for instance, I would feel much more confident in my purchases on there than what FAB is giving me now.
Unity’s marketplace tells you the star rating, number of ratings, number of “favorites” for an asset, number of views in the past week, and they have a reviews section where you can read what people have to say about the asset along with the breakdown of star ratings - you can also vote up/down if a review was helpful. Unity is doing the right thing - being transparent. I feel empowered on their marketplace compared to what FAB is now.
Bring back:
- Open Reviews
- Open Questions
- Wishlists
AND I really need my old wishlist back.
I had about 120-ish things saved on it that I was either saving for a later project or planning on buying. Now I will have to scour the entire marketplace again for everything that I was holding off on and keep it on an external list somewhere. (If I even remember everything)
