DirectX 11 or 12

Hello

I will support interested times how long DirectX 11 Unreal and Windows. 7
Everywhere one reads Direct X 12 and Windows 10 some it may not be fast enough and because one imagines the question whether one should change.

I have a test basis Win 10 attempts compared to Win 7 consumes more resources and is by 50 F hotter than under Windows 7 also run programs faster than under Win 10 Photoshop, Maya and unreal self.

What brings me the advantages for DirectX 12 to upgrade if the new system is much slower and more resources consumed?

Has anyone had experience with it? Can one in the next 2 - 3 years with DirectX 11 and Windows 7 are still developing games and made to market it?

Have a nice day

Support for Windows 7 and DirectX 11 will be around for a while, so don’t worry about that.
In the future however, you could get performance improvements using DirectX 12, more specifically with games that have a large amount of draw calls. Currently the DX12 implementation in UE4 is experimental, but at some point it will be completed.

So far my performance on W10 increased compared to W7.
