Like we said in the first post, it’s too early to compare Director Tools with Sequencer (in terms of features). However, we believe that our product provides much easier workflow. We share some functionality of course (such as video export), but UX is different. Director Tools is mainly targeted to filmmakers, architects or anyone who is looking for a fast way to utilize Unreal Engine’s rendering capabilities in their videos.
Our planned feature list is quite long already. We want the community to decide what should be added in next releases. Some of the major upcoming features include: Sequence Editor (see the image below), Animation Blending, Advanced Curve Editor, Render Queue and more.
