Directional light question

Hi all,

I add a directional light and it looks how I want it to look before I build the lighting in the scene. Once the light build is done it looks strange. I know it’s down to me but can someone shed some light (no pun intended) on why the light coming through is warped? please see images.

Increase the lightmap resolution on the objects that are receiving the shadows, the resolution is really low which makes the pixels huge and makes them blobby.

I am thinking that is better to keep artificial lighting unbaked and manage it using fill lights if it´s necessary.
