Hello,
I’m new to TwinMotion and I love it so far. Just testing out all the features. For me it’s important to be able to use the Direct Link feature from Vectorworks to TwinMotion.
I was wondering if it is possible to have Vectorworks running on Computer 1 (MacBook Pro) and TwinMotion on Computer 2 (Windows) and still be able to have the Direct Link feature to work.
In Vectorworks I’m able to Choose where I like the DataSmith file to be exported to, but I think TwinMotion needs it in a specific folder to ‘see’ the Direct Link Files. It would be nice if I could add a ‘watch folder’ to TwinMotion, so TwinMotion will look inside a shared network folder for new DataLink DataSmith files.
I’ve tried to share the ‘Datalink’ folder on the Windows PC, the default location for the datasmith data link files for Vectorworks, but when I add a new Datalink project directly from the plug-in in Vectorworks on the Mac, Twinmotion (on the Windows PC) does not ‘see’ the link.
Hope you understand the workflow I’d like to achieve.
Regards,
Maarten
