Hi All, I hope someone more experienced might be able to help me on this question. Its a bit weird. I have an interior apartment I am setting up in Unreal Engine 4.12.2 and have all the lighting setup provided from the first person shooter template. The weirdness comes from any walls that seem to be directly opposite of where the direct light is coming from seem to be lit or lit brighter than it should be. I’ve messed around with some of the World settings increasing the light bounces and quality but no such luck. The geometry is one sided and sometimes it helps if I select Shadow Two Sided but that usually just helps it with the shadowing of other objects.
The issue was with the Degenerate Tangents MikkTSpace error. The walls I made I never created basic uv’s but I did for the light map in channel 2 in Max. Once I created UV’s for the ‘0’ level in unreal (1 in Max) it fixed this!
Hope this helps anyone else that may come across this.
