Hello! Very new to UEFN, trying to understand it. Going to try and explain my question as clearly as possible:
A device like the, “trigger,” use to have a “Channels,” option where it would enable/disable all devices on said channel. For example, let’s say i have barriers on channel 10. I Set the trigger to disable on channel 10, and set it to game start. It would disable all the barriers on that channel, at game start. There is no longer a channels option, and instead we have direct binding. I just want to be sure i’m setting this up right. I now have every individual barrier manually chosen under user options - functions, disable, then the barrier.
am i doing this right, and is this how you’re supposed to do it?
Also, Is there a way to select a whole folder as an array element or do i have to do every individual one, one at a time?
Hello!
I’m not familiar with the Creative 1.0 system of channels, but from what I understand, you’re binding events backwards.
Let’s say you want to Disable a Barrier, you would go into your specific Barrier Device. At the bottom, you have these User Options (Functions). These are the functions your device can perform. You can see that the barrier device is able to perform the functions “enable” and “disable”

Here, you can see an array element, which is where you can add elements which will trigger the function(s). If I wanted to have a trigger disable a barrier, I would add the and array element to disable, and find my trigger. For example.

You can see here that I’ve put my trigger as the device that the Barrier will “listen” to. Below, I specified the “On Triggered” event to kick off the Disable function.
That means that anytime my Trigger1_8 is triggered, the barrier will disable.
Hope that makes sense!
