Hi everyone,
I’m excited to share my new project! I’ll be creating a diorama of the Kame House from Dragon Ball Z. For this piece, I plan to model it faithfully to its original design, referencing one of the earliest illustrations by Akira Toriyama, while reinterpreting it in a realistic way.
I’ll also be following his original color palette, which differs slightly from the one seen in the manga.
Here’s my initial blocking along with some reference images:
Hello everyone,
Here is an update on my project.
I have begun modeling the Kame House in 3D, focusing on accurate proportions and detailed geometry. My next step is to continue refining the model and concentrate on developing the textures.
I also plan to model several outdoor elements, including a wooden beach chair and potentially a weather vane.
In the future, I am considering creating a detailed interior for the house as well.
Please see below for the current progress. For the surrounding environment, I plan to incorporate some external Fab assets; I have already started doing so with the palm trees.
Thank you.
Hi everyone,
I advanced on the diorama, I did the house, the mailbox and the island, integrated them in Unreal and added some external assets in addition of the palm trees: the Ocean!
Next week I will work again on my textures and create the beach chairs and the weather vane with some rocks and plants.
Thanks and enjoy!
Hi everyone,
This week I made good progress on the exterior. I created a stone asset and a plant, and then used Unreal’s foliage system to cover a large part of the island.
I also reworked some textures, increased the polygon count of the island for a better result, and added a few small exterior assets to enrich the scene.
Next week, I plan to model the weather vane and integrate it into the scene, refine my camera work in Unreal, and finalize the project.
Thanks for your time and have a nice day.
