Different color between UMG and Draw texture BP

Hi guys and gals, am not shure if it’s a bug, or should be this way, but there is difference in color between menu builded in HUD using BP (draw texture) and menu builded using UMG. I started project before UMG was experimental (i started on 4.0 engine version), and now some parts of menu does require UMG, so can’t do full menu via “draw texture” nor UMG, and i am stuck in between. So how can i made thoose colors match?

P.s. Colors are different ONLY on ipad mini 3, but works great on ipad 4 retina, UE4 4.6.1 and 4.7.0 on iMac and windows.

iOS on ipad 4 retina and mini 3 is 8.1.3, on iMac its 10.10.2, On windows machine windows is 8.1 x64

Hello wmbuRn,

I was looking over your project and I had an idea. I may have a solution to your issue. Could you try Checking the sRGB check box inside of your texture and let me know if that fixes the color difference? I hope that this helps.

Make it a great day

sRGB is checked on all textures, and it is same texture i use in both menus (1 menu in BPs and second in UMG).

Hello wmbuRn,

Are you saying that the solution given in my last post was not successful? If this is the case, could you send a screen shot of the issue that you are having? This is to make sure that we are on the same page.

The solution was not successful. There is project uploaded, and you can see the color change on a button (:

Hello wmbuRn,

I went back into your project and I got a chance to get it on to the device specified above and I was able to figure out how to get your images to display correctly. I created materials for your textures and applied those in UMG. This appears to have done the trick. I hope that this helps

Make it a great day

Hi, thank you for your answer Sir, it does solve the problem. But i am wondering, is it possible to create material from texture and to use newly created material inside “draw material” node (from Event receive draw hud inside hud bp)? Colors in UMG are the right one (:

Hello wmbuRn,

Yes, this should be possible. I have not personally tested this on a mobile device but I know that you can use the “Drawn Material” node inside of the HUD blueprint. I am happy to hear that your issue has been resolved.

thank you very much. (:
