Hello,
I know almost nothing about animation in Unreal, I have experience working on it, but never actually animated inside this engine, besides cameras.
I have this project going on and I need to animate different characters (animals) this is a VR presentation of a zoo so I need that the animals to walk seat and look around randomly while the person walks on it. I have been researching in the help Docs but I got really lost and confused on what to use, there are several options, some of the tutorials that I found are concentrated on the character that the user can control, with keyboard or game controllers.
I used to work with Stingray, ( I know lame, I learned my lesson) and in there I could import several animations for one character and then organize them and play one after the other in sequence or when triggered. I am pretty sure I can do the same with Unreal but I am not really sure where to look.
In resume; where I need to look or read to be able to play different animations in a character without the user input, or when triggered by, proximity or something.
Your help is appreciated.
