Difference in viewport ( different look, missing shadows etc.)

Hi there, newbie question, got a cinematic course and the viewport in my engine looks different than on the video, like shadows and fog are missing, etc Am I missing some settings (second is video.)

From the look of your screens, I believe you are seeing the change between the real time viewport, and the sequencer cinematic result. If you want the viewport to look closer to the final product, test the following:

  • Turn on Game View to see final lighting/exposure values
  • Go to the Show menu, and check that Post Processing, Volumetric Fog, Lighting, and Shadows are enabled
  • If your course is using Lumen, please make sure that Lumen is enabled in your test project
  • In Sequencer, use the Cinematic Viewport, to force cinematic scalability and better depth of field
