Check your PC name. Let’s say it’s called “Nostromo”.
Connect other device like PS4 and give it the same name.
Go to Launch menu. You’ll see 2 devices with the same name. Device Manager doesn’t check if 2 devices share the same name, it just behaves like both of them are your PC.
In this case you can’t use Launch menu to cook game for different platform. You need to use Packaging menu.
Thank you for reporting this issue that you have been seeing. I am going to need a bit more information before I begin looking into this issue. What version of UE4 would you be using and is that version a binary or source build of the engine?
When you select the Launch On drop down, are you able to see the icons next to to the device for each platform? If not, would you be able to share a screenshot of what you are currently seeing from that dropdown?
Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.
Is the error then that no matter with Nostromo name you select, it will only package for one and not the other?
Say you have Nostromo for Windows, you select launch for that platform, it is then launching for Windows. And you then have Nostromo for PS4, and it is also launching for Windows?
