Dev Kit installation

Hi there!

Please can someone tell me how to install the Dev Kit without being vague.There are tutorials and it seems there are two methods:

1] Install the ARK Dev Kit in Steam/Library/Tools
Download the engine from https://github.com/StudioWildcard1/Ark-Dev-Kit

2] Install it through the launcher found here Epic Games

I have already signed up to GitHub,I just want to know why there are multiple ways to download the Dev Kit and which one to use.

Steam is outdated long time ago, use launcher

User the Epic Game Launcher. Under the Modding Tab.
