Got a problem with my dev kit, everytime I right click, drag, or double click any files that are Blue_Print files, the whole thing freezes and becomes unresponsive, any idea whats going? I can access every other file other than these BP files. Thanks
Because BP’s have references attached to them, and there’s usually a lot, if you right click, double click or attempt to drag to a folder, the DevKit needs to load the entire reference tree in RAM so future access to that file and the ones connected to it in some manner are able to be done instantly in real-time(after compiling of course).
If your computer isn’t particularly powerful, it may take a few minutes to load everything, it also depends on the media you have it installed on. I for instance have my DevKit on a Western Digital Caviar Black drive - known for their speed and performance in regards to traditional hard drives, and my DevKit loads up initially within a minute, then opening a BP loads all the references in about another minute, maybe two if my computers being sluggish or I’m doing other things.
Have you tried opening a file and just leaving the DevKit? It will “freeze” and stop responding while it loads everything.

I run 32Gb RAM, SSD, a 4Ghz I7 processor… and even I get some lengthy pauses the first time I open a blueprint with a lot of refs. However it’s usually only a 1-time thing.
Yep, first time i also have to wait 2-3 minutes with a little bit worse system.
