How do I detect overlap between player pawn and the actor of specific type? Namely, I have some portals in my level and I want to know when player stands on one of them so that when he presses space, he gets teleported to the other one from that pair. Is there any way to just check if the overlap is with an actor of type “Portal” or do I have to use tags?
Hi Tigro, one you receive the actor notify event, you will get the OtherActor as an Actor object. Cast this to the type of Portal blueprint. If the cast fails, it means the other actor is not a portal. Draw a pin out of the other actor and search for cast to . You will figure the rest from there, I am sure!
