Hi, don’t know if this is the right place to ask, but i was wondering; is there an more detalied sculpting tool for landscape mode… As in modeling mode; you can use polyExt to draw detalied geometric forms .
I’m trying to make a spesfic “city-park” where i live, and using “Sculpt-tool” is not working good, because the park has a very spesific detailed form. As it’s a human made park…
Typically, I believe environment artist are using static mesh assets for small to medium sized terrain details, like you might find in megascans bridge. Bascially, you use the sculpt brush just to set terrain elevation, then manually place detail meshes (i.e. cliffs, ridges, embankments, culverts, etc.)
For larger geographic shapes, you might be able to use the sculpt brushes but you may consider looking into a dedicated landscape generation tool like World Creator or World Machine.
It is going to be easier for people to suggest specific workflows if you can show exactly what you aim to accomplish.
I think for case like that you’d wnat to get ahold of or create a static mesh for the concrete curb. You could use a spline to easily place it around the borders. You’d only use the sculpt brush to tidy up the transition.
The raised garden bed in background would also be borderd by a static mesh for that stone fence.
Probably you can find something close to what you need in megascans, and if you arent familiar with spline meshes there is quite a bit of documentation and youtube tutorials on that.
