Detail Customization of built-in type (a static mesh actor)?


First of all I would say “Thank you” to Michael Noland for his Training Twitch about Extending Editor.

But I am slightly confused about customizing not my own custom actors but adding details to existing, native actors (like a static mesh or camera etc)…

Can you push me in the right direction please?

You can’t register more than one customization for the same class, unfortunately. Most likely you’d have to modify the existing customizations to append your own functionality.

Do you mean I will have to build engine from customised source then? I though I can avoid it and use installed plugins only…
