Detach textures UVs from camera in Post Process Material

Hi,

I want to create a fake reflection on the screen in my Post Process Material. To do that I have a tilable texture, which I want to put over the screen, but not move together with the camera and stay static instead. I’m looking for something similar to Absolute World Position, but with the texture staying flat. Imagine a panner, but linked to the camera movement. I hope I could make it understandable what I mean. How can I achieve this?

If you want it to be bolted to the screen, you can use screen aligned UVs

Thanks for the reply.

that’s not quite what I meant though. I’m looking for the same effect that you would get when standing inside a sphere with a texture applied to it. So that the texture stays in place relative to the camera movement.

So, stuck to the screen, but looks like it’s on a sphere?

stuck to the envronment, but flat. So when the camera moves up, the texture pans down, when the camera moves left, it pans right and so on. Sorry, I’m kind of struggling to put it in words.

Yay, I was able to achive it with this node setup:

edit: oops, I just noticed it’s still not quite right, but it gets the job done
