Destructible mesh fragments getting stuck on eachother


Im trying to make a slow explosion using a destructible mesh. However when I apply damage and only use a small amount of force the chunks get stuck on eachother like this.


I have tried /
Disabling collision /
Reducing the Stabilization threshold /
Radial vs Normal damage /
Messing with pretty much all the settings.

But I feel I may be missing something fundamental here, has anyone come across this problem before?


Gravity is off. For this project I need it off. I still have not had any luck figuring this one out. Any other ideas? Thanks

turn off gravity

been using DMs quite some time now, haven’t encountered this yet.
how are you making the mesh fragment?
