Destructible mesh custom chunk problem

When I import a custom chunk for my destructible mesh, the smoothing groups from the fbx dissapear making the custom chunk mesh look bad, is there any way around this?

Can anyone from epic confirm if this is a bug?

You may want to check your mesh and your export settings. I’m not seeing the same issue on my end.

I’ve tested this with a simple Sphere.

  1. Base Sphere mesh converted to DM in UE4
  2. Sphere split into 2. Imported as FBX chunks
