Destructable mesh doesn't register hits at low FPS

Lets me describe my problem:

I’m making a game where you race a ball across the track and on the way you hit plates “destructable meshes” which give you points.

My destructible meshes are meant to shatter on impact. This works fine at 120 fps at 60 fps it doesn’t work sometimes. Biggest problem is when i limit the fps to 30 then my ball just rolls through the destructible mesh and nothing happens its not being “registered” at all…

“005Thin” is the destructible mesh. I have several of them across the “track”

I would like it to trigger at any fps…
