Why is the “Desktop” Epic Launcher so poor in performance in comparison to using the launcher via the Chrome Browser… there is simply a vast difference in performance and response times to anything clicked or loading content on screen etc, etc… why???
Only just now in the DT Launcher I noticed that the launcher is refreshing itself every 5-10 seconds now and when it does so it resets the launcher page right at the top again, so if I’m scrolling down browsing games or information it’s annoyingly getting reset to the top of the page every 5-10 secs and making it unusable for such activity…
But I’ve noticed the overall performance on the actual DT Launcher is terrible compared to when using it via the Chrome Browser… why???
Also I’d like to send a support ticket to tell them about this issue with the DT Launcher but cannot find a simple link anywhere on the launcher for Epic Support or Bug reporting facility… again, why??
It’s not the Unreal Engine that’s bugging, it’s the Epic Launcher itself with the marketplace, Library, etc, etc, not the actual Unreal Engine… Just were is the simple plain to see in sight for everyone link to Epic Support/technical support, eh? Would be simple enough to implement but obviously someone isn’t interested enough to think about these things, and certainly no one is testing the standalone PC desktop launcher are they or this issue together with all the other issues wouldn’t creep past the testing phase would they… Sorry for being so blunt, but I’m simply very p*ssed-off with the seemingly lack of interest in anything other than mobile applications over PC Desktop, and the poor old PC Desktop app appears to be getting well ignored in quality control when apps are updated or released lately… Get a grip Epic because your launcher has never worked well on the standalone desktop version, never, compared to the Chrome browser desktop version which appears to works fine.
