Remove the old Unreal Engine Marketplace vault in the launcher in favor of Fab’s My Library.

Please don’t! Fab My Library is sooooooooooooo slow and so useless that I have not even used it even once since it came to be. Unless you can

  1. Just show my library by default without adding your marketing stuff and assets that I don’t own
  2. Make it as fast as Market place vault (it searches instantly in my assets with category filter too)
  3. Make the Fab download location configurable so it doesn’t dump everything into OS drive
  4. Allow me to open links in browser instead of embeded browser or at least let me copy the link to open in browser myself

Then I suggest removing the Fab My library completely in favor of Marketplace Vault! At least I can configure where to store my vault with that!

I have so many assets I’ve purchased over the years that are only available on the vault and not in fab. We need the ability to download our purchases. I can’t even do that right now due to launcher issues with downloading things.

Agreed. I have some assets which are wrongly listen on Fab or not available anymore on Fab, which I can only download through the old vault. There must be a solution for this.

Deprecating the Vault shouldn’t happen until Fab reached feature parity, which as far as I know, isn’t the case. One of the important feature of the Vault that’s missing: product update notifications.

Sure, the orange dot is far, far, from perfect; but at least it exists. Right now, within Fab, there is absolutely no way to know when a product in our library has been updated. As someone who maintains a large collection of Fab products for my organisation, such feature is absolutely necessary.
