Brief outline of our task:
Deploy Epic Games Launcher with Twinmotion installed on customer computers using Microsoft’s deployment system.
Issues:
While I can install the Epic Games Launcher, it seems to require administrative rights to install prerequisites and self updates, failing to launch if not permitted to do so.
I have been unable to find any documentation that would suggest a way to ask the launcher to download the Twinmotion software if we can get past the first issue.
My needs:
A way to install the Epic Games Launcher including the selfupdate and prerequisites as well as a the Twinmotion launcher, and a way for students to operate the software without requiring administrative rights.
What I have tried:
Asking the Launcher’s setup for arguments via /? and --help command line arguments.
Searching for command line arguments on the internet.
Contacting Epic’s technical support.
Searching the Launcher files with notepad++ for files containing known command line arguments without finding any (guessing they’re unicode or possibly encrypted).
How I got here:
Epic support handed me a link to the following page.
Step 2 fails as there is no search bar visible for me.
Step 3 fails because I get an ‘unauthorized’ error when trying to use the contact us button and the new discussion button brings me to a page claiming invalid page.

Environment:
Windows 11 Enterprise 23H2
Danish UI
All systems have at minimum an SSD or NVMe drive and at least 8GB memory.
Target machines are significantly above average spec
My test system’s a Hyper-v vm with 16GB memory on an NVMe array and 4 cores of a ryzen 7900 available.

Worth mentioning: It took 4 hours to get email verification emails that expire after 30 minutes. Seems to run normally now. Also on my system I can only log in while in incognito, otherwise it complains about a capcha initialization error.
