Now that would be beyond awesome and would save quiet some time
Hi Steff,
can you elaborate a bit what it should do exactly? Is it basically an adjustment of shadows and highlights that you want within RC? Or is it more complex and based on occlusion or raytracing from the mesh?
" …based on occlusion or raytracing from the mesh…"
yes that is what I think would be awesome…
+1 from me for this.
Unity has one, A**softs product has one, RC definitely needs a delighting tool.
Cheers !
Didn’t know the Other One has that - is it restricted to the Pro version?
I think so.
is it OK to use in-camera Active D-lighting (Nikon D60) or does that amount to messing with the image (like image stabilisation, noise reduction etc), which RC prefers to be avoided? Apparently it takes longer exposure (or rather, longer to capture the image) and creates a larger jpg. Maybe D-lighting is bad when done in post-processing but OK if done in the camera before it creates the jpg?
Yes, I second this feature request. Above a reasonable 3D model created from a drone series of pictures. Since you know the location and time, you can calculate the shadow, and thereby “substract” the shadow darkness from the texture. It is a big hassle to have to use Unity (or any other 3rd-party tool) for that purpose.
+1
what you guys use to delight actually ?Â
i’m starting to look more in depth in photogrammetry and that’s a feature I really need to have (can be combine with hand cleaning) as i will use models only for vfx and game
thanks
Was there any delighting tool created for CapturingReality?
jpriceOCU, no, it wasn’t created, but you can try this workflow: https://support.capturingreality.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000157411-Simple-de-lighting-using-flash
