Delete, cut and rename button grayed out in UE 5.5

Hi guys, I’m experiencing this bug from time to time for no apparent reason. It not only grey out these options but also commands like “Delete”, “Ctrl+X”, or “Ctrl+V”. Does anyone know how to avoid this bug? It’s annoying to have to restart the editor for this…

It seems to be a pretty weird editor issue and, from what I’ve been checking, it does look like a bug.

These are the only solutions I found that might help:

  • Restarting the editor**, which you’ve already been doing.
  • Compiling the affected Blueprint** (sometimes things go back to normal).
  • Verifying the engine installation**.

Also, I checked the Unreal page and there’s no reported bug that matches exactly what’s happening to you. If it keeps happening, you could open a new ticket to confirm whether it’s truly a bug or some strange editor limitation (though I don’t think it’s the latter).
