i think this was already asked, but cannot find the post to up it.
Deleting component one by one is ok when you have a small amount, but you have a lot of component at each alignment step, its very very time consuming.
Maybe instead of deleting several component (which imply selection of more than one component) it would be great if component were organized by alignment step, and so delete the full previous steps which are not needed anymore.
I agree, sometimes smaller components become a headache for housekeeping. I could see an option to save components per alignment into a folder, one featuring an X to nuke all at once if appropriate.
+1 for multi selection of components for deletion and having components organized as folders per alignment trial. [edit] done in new RC update!
By the way, this multi-selection should also be appliable to the selection of orthos or models in batch, for deletion. Same as it happens today for export of all selected orthos.
Have you tried to go about the problem the other way round and just export the ones you like to keep as registration and then add them all in a new project?
