Define Distance: Unassigned End Point

Hi All

After searching the forums, I’ve seen a few problems with the “Define Distance” tool. However I haven’t come across this one.

After running an initial alignment, I designated control points in the 3d view, with 2x 2D views alongside. This allows me to simultaneously zoom in on 2x images and place control points… and it then propogates the control points to other images that have them - much quicker than manually placing it in each image!

NOTE: These control points are “tie points”, not ground control points with an X Y Z coordinate

I then go to the “define distance” tool and drag between two control points in the 3D view. It registers both points, and I enter in my known distance.

The problem is that in the 1Ds view, beside each ‘control distance’, it says “unassigned end point” in red… even though when I click on a control distance, it says the correct two control points as “A” and “B” locations.

When i hit “update” under “Alignment>Registration”, I get an error saying “no suitable constraints”.   Can anyone point me in the right direction to get my control distances working?

Ah don’t mind me. I figured it out.

I’ve got to verify the Control Points that I placed in the 3D view in a few images. Then it’s all good.

Cheers

Well done, just wanted to tell you that!
