Deffered Decal Error

Hello everyone.

I’m a new unreal user and i’m trying to learn the engine at the moment.

Currently, i’m having some problem with the Decals and i hope someone can help me whit it.

so, following the traditional method, i create a material and change the material domain to deferred decal, at that moment my preview of the material becomes black ( as i undestend, it should be the decal’s base material ) and even if i apply any material, the base material doesn’t change in the decal.

The only way that the material change ( as far as i discover ) is changing the Blend mode and the Material Blend Mode to Tranparent.

can someone please help me to figure that out ?
