Default slot not working?

Hello I created my own AnimBP and after doing all the ground work with the animations i connected my main state machine to default slot.

now i added a attack montage and its not playing i cant figure out why, even tho its not playing my other animations are working just the montages isnt, i tried creating a new slot but that didnt work it and also change the blend modes ( in and out) but that didnt fix it either.

if anybody has an idea why thats happening i would love to know!

Anyone interested I found the solution, apparently you cant promote the BP mesh into a var and use it as is you need to have to connected to the character to work(“Get Mesh”) from the BP of the character.

Kinda stupid things but atleast it works
