Default.ico breaks upgrading project from 5.0 to 5.2

I’ve already gone through this with 5.0 and fixed it there several months back. The problem is this: when I set my game’s default icon for a Windows build, and even change the Default.ico file to my icon (which works fine in 5.0, and yes the icon file is in the UE folder, not the project folder), my builds end up with the stock UE Default.ico file. Nothing I do resolves this issue! Again, my icon file worked fine with 5.0 and all my builds had it without issue. It’s only the upgrade of my project to 5.2 that it no longer works, even after copying my icon file to the 5.2 Unreal install folder.

Any thoughts or advice? If I figure it out, I’ll post back, but I’ve spent days already trying to get this to work. I do not understand why UE makes setting the build’s icon so bloody difficult.

Hey there @Cod3rChick! That’s an odd one, so let’s as some probing questions, and I’ll see if I can replicate it on this side. May I know your specs? Are you building over previous builds or fresh? Are other 5.2 projects unable to change the icon as well? Is the ico file 256x256?

Hey My friend i found that the package with the icon you will find in *Project/Saved/StagedBuilds
