When I import new audio files the default compression setting is 40, Instead of going back through all my audio files and changing them in the future, I’m looking for a way to change the default Compression settings for audio on Import. Is there a setting for this somewhere?

Old post but I just ran into this question myself.
You can select all Wavs, open all and edit the Compression Quality field to be 100 then save all.
If you have different values (like you changed the first one then despaired of changing all one by one) it will say Multiple Values…
You will find
Multiple select → Mouse Right Click → Asset action → Properties matrix edit
