Note: I’m pretty new to unreal and originally wanted to try making some workable systems in the engine (weapons, pickups, enemies, etc…)/ the goal was something Super Crate Box-ish. sadly i didn’t have enough time as i still have huge problems with the language of the engine. then IRL stuff happened and it basically means i had no time for anything but the weapon system/pickups. figured id post it anyway because why the hell not. was originally supposed to have a robot character and a ministry of magic level style. didn’t happen. brick texture did. that was all that happened in the visuals department.

OH NO! There is trouble in the North Pole; the elf inspectors have unionized and are threatening to strike. Its up to you to keep them happy and working while still making the big guy lots of money.
Each elf can make you gobs of money, but if their tolerance level gets too low they will stop working and go on strike. While inspecting a present, an elf will quickly lose tolerance. The lower their tolerance the more money Santa makes, Don’t question this logic! Luckily, when an elf isn’t inspecting the present he slowly gains tolerance, because that’s what lazy elves do!
You can give the elves a surprise gift in hopes of boosting moral, but WATCH OUT because you never know what’s in the box!
Controls:
1, A - Pass to the Elf on the LEFT
2. D - Pass to the Elf on the RIGHT
3. Space - Open the Surprise Gift When the Mystery Box Sequence Start, master the timing to get the highest performance from your elves!

Note: We are currently working on releasing this game with a complete feature set.
File->PackageProject -> BuildConfiguration -> click Shipping
then again in -> PackageProject -> Windows -> Windows32bit (should show up from clicking Shipping earlier) , use that to package your project
(if your build is failing, there might be another issue but I hope not, check for errors when you build project)
choose your directory etc. and start the build
once you have a workable game, zip it up n upload it so you can provide a link & post it
Description
You play a scientist who has recently invented an infinite storage portal. Just as you were about to prepare the storage portal for your big presentation, a test monkey pressed all the buttons and pulled all the levers to your portal! Everything inside the portal has now been jumbled up, and now you must re-organize them into separate portals before the presentation tomorrow.
Submission name: Bombs in Boxes
No team. Just made by me, JW.
There are two goals in this game. Fist is to find the special box and find the prize. Then try to clear out the entire level.
It’s cool in VR and is built to support that. It can be pretty nauseating though. Walking instead of sprinting helps a lot.
Controls:
Left mouse - Open Box
Right Mouse - Mark Box as a bomb
WASD - Move
Left Shift - Toggle Sprint
Escape - Return to lobby
If using an Oculus Rift, R resets the HMD position.
Well I’ve run into a lot of unfortunate problems packaging my game so I’m providing the link to the project files in a zip folder… it runs fine through the editor but it keeps giving me an error and saying very bad things like “shutting down and abandoning” which is very sad. I’ve provided a link for the full error log as well but it’s too late to get feedback on how to fix, then package, then upload so again here is the project folder. If you just hit play there it should play correctly.

Controls:
Movement: WASD + Mouse

Notes:
and… its done phew! There seem to be some issues when packaging the build in regards to collision, we were having issues with the maximum step height as well, I honestly was too concerned with making mechanics than trying to fix or work around bugs. Its unfortunate but seeing as the deadline is so close we have to submit as is, expect fixes in the near future.
