Decals do not render in path tracer

Hello everyone, I was trying to add some dirt to a wall in my project, but even though the decals appear in normal view, they just disappear when pressing the path tracer.

The object got UV map created in my DCC before importing. I also tried importing an object without UV.

What am I missing?

There is no way around it that I know of. When I render an image I just photoshop the image in there. If I'm making a video, I physically model the element in Revit/Rhino/etc. as a mass and apply different materials to it. It's easier to do with simpler images.

The upcoming version of TM will fix this issue. A TM employee has commented on another post saying that they are planning to release this version this week. So in a few days this will change!

Thank you for reaching out on the community, this had been a limitation of the Path Tracer since introduced in Twinmotion 2022, as referenced in our Twinmotion 2022.1 Preview 1 Release Notes here.

However, decals should now be supported when using the Path Tracer in our next Twinmotion update, which is right around the corner. :)
